Product information Aramide
Textiles used for personal protective equipment (PPE) must meet high standards. Reliability and safety are always the top priorities. Aramid sewing threads are ideal for use in heat and flame protective clothing. They are used when sewing threads need to offer high levels of heat, flame and chemical resistance. Cut and bullet-proof properties, as well as splinter protection, are also decisive factors. Aramid fibres do not melt and are self-extinguishing, and their decomposition temperature only starts at over 360 °C.

Meta-aramide
Gütermann K

Gütermann K is a spun sewing thread made of 100 % Nomex® aramid long fibre. Thanks to its thread construction, it has a high tensile strength. It is ideal for applications where high heat resistance and flame-retarding properties combined with high tear strength are required.
Anesafe®

Anesafe® is spun from 100 % Nomex® aramid short fibre. This is the most sought-after aramid sewing thread in the manufacture of high-temperature-resistant and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Gütermann K AR

Gütermann K AR is a short fibre, spun sewing thread made of 100% meta-aramide. It is used in particular for sewing applications such as protective workwear and equipment where an economical solution is required in addition to heat and flame resistance.
Gütermann L

Gütermann L is a 100 % meta-aramide / Nomex® continous filament that is ideal for applications where flame retardant and self-extinguishing combined with very high tensile strength are required.

Para-aramide / Kevlar®
Aneguard using Kevlar®

Aneguard using Kevlar® is a special sewing thread made of 100 % para-aramide. It can withstand short-term temperatures of up to 449 °C, is non-melting and self-extinguishing. It also has good chemical resistance to weak acids and alkalis. Due to its high tear resistance, it is particularly recommended for cut- and bullet-resistant workwear.
Acero

Acero is the ideal sewing thread for sewing Technical Textiles that require extremely high heat resistance, such as filters and insulation. It combines the advantages of two fiber materials. The wrapped yarn has a metal core consisting of 10 stainless steel wires. The Kevlar® coating ensures high tear resistance and good chemical-resistance to acids and alkalis. Acero is high-temperature-resistant up to 700° C under mechanical stress and up to 1000 °C without mechanical stress.

Certified quality
Anesafe®, Gütermann K und Gütermann L meet the requirements of the DIN EN ISO 15025 standard for protective clothing and are therefore ideal for clothing applications that must comply with the DIN EN 469, EN ISO 11612, EN ISO 11611 and EN ISO 14116 standards.
Anesafe® and Gütermann K are certified according to ISO 15797 in wash programmes 2 (white) and 8 (coloured).
