Compact spun threads are the most premium of all the core spun threads and are produced using the compact spinning method. This process reduces the hairiness and gives the sewing thread a more uniform thread cross-section than with standard spun threads. The evenness of the sewing thread is improved, so it can be sewn with finer needles. Compact spun sewing threads are therefore ideal for making garments from fine fabrics, such as blouses or shirts.
